CourseProfiler Terms of Use

These Terms of Use describe practical rules for using CourseProfiler, including the public API, generated artifacts, and AI-agent workflows.

Informational use only

Course profiles, segment classifications, pace estimates, race plans, comparisons, and PDF exports are informational planning aids. They are not medical advice, safety advice, coaching advice, navigation instructions, or official race instructions. Always verify plans against official race materials, weather, terrain, your health, and local conditions.

Your responsibilities

• You are responsible for the GPX, FIT, CRSProf, USRProf, URLs, and other data you submit.
• You must have the rights or permission needed to upload, submit, or reference the data.
• Do not submit sensitive personal information beyond what is needed for the requested analysis.
• You are responsible for keeping artifact IDs and private download URLs confidential.
• You are responsible for reviewing generated outputs before relying on them.

API and automated use

• The public API is initially unauthenticated and may be rate limited, quota limited, changed, suspended, or disabled to protect the service.
• Do not use excessive automated traffic, scraping, denial-of-service behavior, or attempts to bypass limits.
• AI agents should follow the public API documentation and should not use browser automation when API endpoints are available.
• State-changing requests may create jobs and artifacts that consume temporary storage and compute.

Artifacts and availability

Jobs, generated artifacts, uploaded files, metadata, and download URLs are temporary. They may expire, be deleted, or become unavailable. Public API jobs and artifacts are designed to expire after 30 days, and storage lifecycle rules may remove temporary uploaded files.

Prohibited use

• Do not upload malware or content intended to harm the service or other users.
• Do not use the service to process data you are not authorized to use.
• Do not attempt to access, guess, enumerate, or share private artifacts that are not yours.
• Do not use the service for illegal, abusive, or privacy-invasive activity.

No warranties

CourseProfiler is provided as is and as available. We do not guarantee that calculations, estimates, classifications, imports, exports, APIs, or generated files will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, or error-free.
